Man Indicted for Cold-Blooded Murder of Caucasus Crime Boss in Caesarea

Doron Weizman, 54, of Beit She'an, has been indicted for the murder of Yanis Yushbayev, the head of the Caucasian mafia in Israel. Yushbayev was shot in the head at close range in a Caesarea restaurant on Friday. Prosecutors are seeking to detain Weizman until the end of legal proceedings, citing his extensive criminal record and the nature of the murder.

According to the indictment, Weizman and Yushbayev had no prior acquaintance. Weizman armed himself and arrived at the restaurant in a stolen vehicle with fake license plates. He ordered food and waited for Yushbayev to arrive. When Yushbayev left the restaurant with associates, Weizman followed him, approached, aimed his weapon at his head, and fired at close range. Yushbayev collapsed and died at the scene, while Weizman fled in the car.

The prosecution highlighted Weizman's 38 prior convictions and lengthy prison sentences. The arrest request stated the act was committed with "freezing composure, after prior planning, in daylight, in a crowded restaurant," adding that "sitting calmly in the restaurant, waiting for the deceased, indicate freezing composure and prior planning."
