Suspect Arrested in Murder of Caucasus Mafia Boss in Israel
Israeli police have arrested Doron Weizman, 54, in connection with the murder of Caucasus mafia boss Yanis Yushbayev. Yushbayev was shot and killed at a gas station in Caesarea. Weizman, from the village of Hazon in the Galilee, allegedly waited for Yushbayev at a restaurant before confronting him outside. Police stated that Weizman made a significant error by leaving fingerprints on cigarettes and a drink glass at the restaurant, as well as inside the getaway vehicle. The car used to flee the scene had been stolen two years prior in Petah Tikva. Weizman reportedly hid in a storage room in Hadera with a woman who was unaware of the murder and uninvolved in the crime. He was apprehended several days after the incident.
