Israeli Police Arrest Main Suspect in Caucasian Mafia Boss Murder in Caesarea

Israeli special forces arrested the primary suspect in the assassination of Caucasian mafia leader Yanis Yusubayev in Caesarea. The arrest took place on August 25, 2026, in Hadera after an intense intelligence-led manhunt lasting over 24 hours. The suspect was found hiding in a warehouse near a residential building and was caught by Yamam counterterrorism unit forces who had been waiting for a critical intelligence tip revealing his location.

Alongside the main suspect, additional individuals were detained and transferred to the Coastal District Police for further interrogation. A senior police official described the arrest as capturing "the assassin" and praised the coordinated efforts of Yamam and the Coastal District Police. Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levi commended the operation and affirmed that the Israel Police will continue to investigate the case thoroughly, aiming to identify and prosecute all involved parties.
