Israeli Counterterror Unit Arrests Suspect in Caucasian Mafia Boss Murder in Hadera

Israeli police announced the arrest of the main suspect in the murder of Yanis Yusubayev, the head of the Caucasian mafia, which occurred two days ago in Caesarea. The suspect, an older man who did not resist arrest, was found in a warehouse within an apartment building in Hadera, carrying a Japanese knife. Intelligence about his location was received approximately 24 hours prior to the arrest.

The investigation into the murder is being led by the Coastal District Police (Yam'ar Hof), with detectives and investigators working to locate suspects since the killing. Due to intelligence indicating the suspect was armed with a handgun and located in Hadera, a decision was made to deploy a specialized and skilled force to avoid endangering officers. The National Counterterrorism Unit (Yamam) carried out the operation, surprising and arresting the suspect without incident.

The suspect has been transferred to the Coastal District Police for further interrogation. Additional details are expected to be released soon as the investigation continues.
