Israel Soccer Player Apologizes for Celebration That Led to Red Card

Israeli national soccer team striker Said Abu Farhi has apologized for a goal celebration that resulted in his ejection from a UEFA Nations League match against Austria, which Israel lost 3-1. Abu Farhi admitted his "celebration was a mistake that ruined the game." The incident occurred during a critical phase of the match, contributing to Israel's defeat.

Despite the loss, which began their Nations League campaign, the team's players rallied around Abu Farhi, offering support and understanding. However, sources within the team expressed surprise at Abu Farhi's reaction, noting he had received a yellow card for the exact same type of celebration earlier in the season during a match in the Champions of Champions tournament.
