The IDF said it carried out strikes over the weekend in northern Gaza and killed two Hamas operatives. One was identified as Ahmed Munir Khalil Zaza, the engineering officer of Hamas’s West Jabalia battalion.
According to the military, Zaza was involved in producing weapons, building explosives and booby-trapped houses, and had tried to plant explosives near the yellow line.
In a separate strike, the IDF said it killed Hussin Safdi, who headed Hamas’s sniping unit in Gaza City. The army said he was responsible for sniper attacks against IDF forces throughout the war and had repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement.
The IDF added that Safdi had also tried to train militants and promote additional sniper operations.
