The IDF said it killed two militants, Hussain Qudra and Mohammed Fara, in southern Gaza last week. According to the military, both were affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The IDF said the two operated inside a Hamas-run financial network that moved money into the Gaza Strip. It said they helped transfer more than 500 million shekels to the terrorist organization.
Qudra was described as the head of the network. Under him, Fara and other militants worked with a system that included dozens of couriers and money changers in Turkey and in Gaza. The statement did not say exactly when the operation took place beyond last week, but it identified the southern part of the Strip as the location.
The military did not provide further details on the strike or say whether anyone else was killed. The account presented by the IDF links the pair to a broader financial pipeline used by Hamas to move funds into Gaza.
