Grieving Community Mourns Father of Six Murdered in West Bank Shooting Attack

Natanel (Nati) Sharon, a 30-year-old father of six from the Eli Zahav settlement, was killed in a shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region. He was shot while visiting the Ein Ra'aya spring with his eldest son to immerse himself ahead of Yom Kippur. Sharon was critically wounded and evacuated to Beilinson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He is survived by his wife, Merav, and their six children, the eldest in 11th grade and the youngest aged four. Sharon worked as an information systems analyst for "Hachshara Insurance Company," and his wife, Dr. Merav Sharon, lectures at Ariel University.

The Eli Zahav community eulogized Sharon as a beloved, kind, modest, and loving individual, a devoted husband to Merav, and a dedicated father to their six children. The community pledged to support the family during this difficult time. The Sharon family is described as long-standing residents of the settlement.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, visited the family, expressing deep sorrow and solidarity with the nation. He reiterated Sharon's character as a man of kindness, humility, and love for people, a devoted family man, and part of a rooted, long-standing family in Eli Zahav. Dagan noted the tragic circumstances of his death after immersing with his son for Yom Kippur, stating, "The heart breaks."

Following the attack, security forces launched a manhunt for the perpetrator, who fled the scene on foot. Checkpoints were established, and searches were conducted using foot patrols, drones, and aircraft. The suspect was apprehended approximately three hours after the incident.
