Samaria Terror Attack Claims Life of Father of Six

A resident of the Samaria settlement of Eli-Zahav, Natanel Shachron, was killed in a terrorist attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf. The Samaria Regional Council reported the incident, which occurred at a water spring.

Shachron, who worked in the high-tech industry and was a father of six, was at the spring with his eldest son for a traditional ritual immersion ahead of Yom Kippur when the attack took place. The timing of the attack, just before the Jewish holiday, has amplified the shock and grief.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan offered condolences to the family, remembering Shachron as a humble man of good deeds and a lover of people. Dagan stated that the incident would not deter residents from continuing their lives and future plans, emphasizing a resolve to develop settlements in the region despite security threats.

The attack has prompted widespread support for the bereaved family from local residents and public figures. The Israeli military has reportedly increased security across all sectors in anticipation of Yom Kippur.
