Samaria Attack Survivor Recounts Harrowing Fight With Terrorist

Natanel Yaakov, who was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in Samaria, recounted his dramatic struggle with the terrorist from his hospital bed at Beilinson Hospital. Yaakov described a face-to-face confrontation where he fought back with punches and shoves, even falling to the ground with the assailant. He continued to struggle, choking the attacker, even after the knife broke and the terrorist attempted to continue stabbing him. The terrorist eventually escaped to his vehicle.

Despite his injuries, Yaakov pursued the attacker with a rock and managed to record the vehicle's license plate number. This information led to the terrorist's capture and elimination. Yaakov sustained stab wounds to his head, neck, and hand.

His parents, Avichai and Penina, expressed gratitude for his survival, calling it a "great miracle" and stating that Yaakov was "reborn" on his birthday. They described his condition as good and stable, emphasizing that the outcome could have been much worse without his bravery and divine intervention.

The family also issued a strong appeal to the security establishment and political leadership, demanding an end to the situation where terrorists emerge from Arab villages to attack Jews. They called for decisive action, including demolishing homes and confiscating weapons in villages from which terrorists emerge, rather than relying on routine operations. The parents also highlighted the critical role of agricultural outposts in Judea and Samaria in controlling open areas and keeping terrorists away from settlements.
