Slain Israeli Father of Six Mourned in Eli Zahav Funeral
The funeral procession for Natanel (Nati) Shukron, who was killed in a Palestinian shooting attack, is scheduled to depart Monday night at 10:30 PM from the Ganim Square in the settlement of Eli Zahav, heading to the local cemetery. Eulogies will be delivered at the cemetery.
Shukron, 30, a resident of Eli Zahav, was identified Sunday, hours before Yom Kippur, as the victim of the shooting near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region. He was shot while at the Ein Re'aya spring and was critically wounded. He was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Shukron, a father of six children, had gone to the spring with his eldest son to immerse himself before Yom Kippur. His youngest child is four years old, and his eldest is in 11th grade. He worked as an information systems analyst at Hachshara Insurance Company. His wife, Dr. Merav Shukron, is a lecturer at Ariel University.
