Israeli Forces Capture Terrorist Who Murdered Father of Six Near Settlement

A terrorist attack near the Israeli settlement of Neve Tzuf in the West Bank on the eve of Yom Kippur resulted in the death of Natanel (Nati) Shkaron, a father of six. Shkaron was shot and killed while bathing at the Ein Ri'a spring, preparing for the Jewish holiday. His 16-year-old son, who was with him, was unharmed.

The assailant, identified as Qadri Samara, opened fire from a passing vehicle. A tracker from the Binyamin Brigade, who was in a protected vehicle nearby, spotted the shooting and returned fire, hitting the terrorist. This action likely prevented further casualties.

Samara managed to escape wounded to Ramallah. However, Israeli forces, specifically the Duvdevan Unit, acting on precise intelligence, located and apprehended him in a clinic where he was being treated. The swiftness of the raid into Ramallah reportedly caused shock on Palestinian social media.

Following the arrest, Israeli forces surrounded a mosque in the terrorist's hometown of Bidya and conducted widespread arrests of individuals suspected of involvement in the attack. Security forces have intensified operations in the Neve Tzuf area, which has seen multiple shooting incidents in recent months.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for the mandatory death penalty for terrorists to be implemented, citing the attack as a test case for the law recently approved by the Knesset. Shkaron was remembered as a devoted husband and father and a humble community member. His funeral was scheduled for later that evening.
