IDF Thwarts Imminent Terror Attack in West Bank During Yom Kippur

Israeli military forces conducted multiple counter-terrorism operations in the West Bank during Yom Kippur, arresting suspects and confiscating weapons and bomb-making materials. In Qabatiya, soldiers from the elite Duvdevan unit apprehended two terrorists preparing an imminent attack, according to the IDF. In the village of Bidu, forces mapped the home of a terrorist responsible for the recent murder of Netanel Shakron. During a separate operation in Bidu, soldiers searched approximately 100 sites, questioned 90 suspects, and found a hunting rifle. The Duvdevan unit also discovered a lathe used for weapon manufacturing, two Carlo-type improvised firearms, and other military equipment in Beit Ur al-Tahta. Paratrooper reconnaissance units operated in the Menashe brigade sector, questioning suspects, arresting wanted individuals, and seizing explosive production materials. Additionally, forces in the Ephraim brigade conducted operations across several villages, questioning over 80 suspects.
