Mild Warming Expected for Yom Kippur Amid Heat Warnings
Israel is set for a slight warming trend starting Sunday, the eve of Yom Kippur, with temperatures expected to be seasonal for most regions. The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued heat overload warnings for several eastern and northern areas, including the Judean Desert, Dead Sea region, Arava, Beit She'an Valley, Jordan Valley, Kinneret Basin, Hula Valley, Jezreel Valley, eastern Lower Galilee, and northeastern Samaria. These conditions are expected to persist through Monday, Yom Kippur, with temperatures rising moderately, particularly in mountainous and inland areas.
Additionally, a warning has been issued for high and dangerous seas along all Mediterranean coastlines between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Monday. The weather overnight Sunday is forecast to be partly cloudy to clear.
