Hamas Commander Held Remains of Israeli Soldier Adar Goldin
A lengthy investigation by Israeli military intelligence and the Shin Bet security agency has revealed that a Hamas commander in Rafah, Nael Abu-Abed, who was killed on September 15 in Gaza, was directly involved in the abduction of Israeli soldiers and civilians. In 2014, while serving as deputy commander of the Rafah Brigade, Abu-Abed held the remains of fallen Lieutenant Adar Goldin. During the current war, Abu-Abed also held Senior Sergeant Nimrod Cohen and several other hostages within Hamas's underground tunnel infrastructure in the Rafah area.
