News Director Itzik Barashi Dies in Bicycle Accident Near Ramla
Itzik Barashi, a director in the news division of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan), died in a road accident on Highway 44 near the Nesherim interchange, close to Ramla. Barashi was riding his bicycle when the incident occurred.
Kan News eulogized Barashi, stating, "Kan News mourns the death of our colleague, Itzik Barashi, a valued director in the news division, who was killed this morning in a bicycle accident on Highway 44 near the Nesherim interchange. Itzik, one of Kan News's most professional and talented directors, joined the Broadcasting Corporation almost from its inception in 2018, and since then has accompanied our broadcasts with professionalism and commitment, in routine and in war."
The corporation extended condolences to his wife, Shirley, his children Keren, Roi, and Itai, his family, friends, and colleagues.
