Israel Airports Authority Warns Against Unlicensed Valet Parking at Ben Gurion Airport

The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has issued a public warning against using private valet parking services for travelers arriving at Ben Gurion Airport. The IAA strongly advises passengers to utilize official airport parking facilities and to consider using public transportation, such as trains, to reach the airport. Free shuttle buses are available from long-term parking lots to the airport terminals and back.

The authority explicitly stated that it does not operate any valet parking services at Ben Gurion Airport and has no affiliation with private companies offering such services. These unauthorized companies often advertise using phrases like "Ben Gurion Airport parking" or "parking near the terminal." The IAA emphasized that these entities are not licensed by them to operate within the airport's vicinity.

Recent complaints from travelers who used these private services have highlighted significant issues. Passengers reported damage to their vehicles, unauthorized use of their cars while they were abroad, and the receipt of traffic violations and fines registered in their names. Furthermore, many faced difficulties in obtaining any response or resolution from the service providers after the vehicles were returned.

The IAA is actively working to combat unlicensed activities around Ben Gurion Airport. This includes taking legal action and removing unauthorized operators from the airport premises, utilizing all available means to ensure the safety and security of travelers and their property.
