Israel Airport Authority Warns Against Unauthorized Parking Services at Ben Gurion Airport

The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has issued a public warning against using unauthorized private parking services operating at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). The warning comes after numerous complaints from travelers, including incidents where their vehicles were used without permission while they were abroad.

The IAA stated that private companies offering parking and vehicle collection services, claiming to operate at or near the airport, are not authorized by the authority. The airport does not officially offer such services. Passengers have reported damages to their vehicles, unauthorized use during their trips, and even receiving traffic tickets and fines under their names.

"We are acting with the means at our disposal against unauthorized activity at Ben Gurion Airport, including legal measures and removing entities operating without authorization within the airport grounds," an IAA representative said. The authority recommends that travelers use public transportation, such as trains, to reach the airport.

One traveler, Avi, reported discovering six video recordings from his car's dashcam showing his vehicle being driven on the day before his return from a three-day trip to Cyprus. The recordings documented the car being used for what appeared to be personal trips or work-related errands while it was supposed to be parked by the company, AP Parking Services. Avi noted that while the car did not appear to be damaged, fuel was consumed during these unauthorized drives, and the driver was seen going to various locations, including the airport, possibly to shuttle another vehicle.
