Couple Scammed by Fake Airport Parking Service at Ben Gurion Airport

A couple, Gal and Noy, reported being defrauded by a company offering parking services for travelers at Ben Gurion Airport. The pair left their car with the company for five days while on vacation, expecting it to be parked in a long-term lot and returned upon their arrival. However, upon their return, they discovered their car was dirty, nearly out of fuel, and had missing items, including a charging cable and sunglasses.

Further investigation revealed that the car had been driven extensively during their absence. Dashcam footage captured daily trips, including instances of reckless driving and a trip to a bakery in Shoham, evidenced by leftover pastry crumbs. The couple also reported hearing disturbing conversations from within the vehicle on the recordings.

When Gal contacted the company's representative, he was told the matter would be investigated, but the couple has yet to receive a response. The Israel Airports Authority is aware of the issue and has issued warnings against such fraudulent companies, emphasizing that official airport parking services do not include valet pick-up and drop-off at the terminal. The couple expressed feeling exploited, stating they received a different car than the one they left and that their desire for a convenient service led to significant distress.
