Israel Airports Authority Warns Against Unauthorized Valet Parking Services

The Israel Airports Authority has issued a warning to travelers using Ben Gurion Airport, advising them against using private valet parking services. These services typically involve picking up a car at the terminal, parking it during the owner's trip, and returning it upon their arrival.

The authority recommends that passengers opt for public transportation or the official airport parking facilities instead. They emphasize that companies advertising valet parking as being "at Ben Gurion," "at the airport," or "near the terminal" lack official authorization for such operations. The airport's website explicitly states that valet parking services are not provided at Ben Gurion, and private companies offering them are doing so without the Airports Authority's permission.

According to Israeli media reports, the Israel Airports Authority has received complaints from passengers who used these unauthorized services. Car owners have reported damage to their vehicles, incurred fines, and experienced difficulties contacting the companies they entrusted with their cars. Some complaints even alleged that the vehicles were used while their owners were abroad.
