Air Canada Resumes Israel Flights Early Amid Winter Season

Air Canada announced it will resume its direct flights between Toronto and Tel Aviv significantly earlier than previously scheduled, bringing back the route by the end of November. The airline had initially planned to restart operations in mid-January 2027, but has now moved the date forward to November 30, 2026. This adjustment means the flights will be available during the upcoming winter season, approximately a month and a half ahead of the original plan.

The resumption of service is particularly significant as there are currently no direct flights connecting Israel and Toronto. Air Canada's return will reestablish this direct link, offering travelers the convenience of avoiding layovers. The airline intends to operate four flights per week on the Toronto-Tel Aviv route during the winter, providing increased flexibility for passengers planning their trips.

Air Canada had suspended its flights to Israel following the outbreak of the war. The early resumption indicates a growing confidence in the stability of travel conditions, allowing passengers to once again access direct travel options between the two cities for the winter travel period.
