Air Canada Advances Flight Resumption to Israel

Air Canada announced Tuesday it is accelerating the resumption of its direct flights between Tel Aviv and Toronto. The route, which was suspended in March due to escalating tensions with Iran, will now restart on November 30, approximately two and a half months earlier than previously planned for January 2027. During the winter season, the Canadian airline will operate four weekly flights on the Toronto-Tel Aviv route, restoring direct service after a prolonged interruption.

This decision reverses Air Canada's August announcement to extend flight cancellations until mid-January. The move aligns with a broader recovery trend in the Israeli aviation market, which has seen international carriers gradually returning following a difficult period that began with the war and intensified after Iranian attacks.

Air Canada's accelerated return follows similar actions by major American airlines, including Delta and United Airlines, which also brought forward their resumption of services to Israel to early September by several months. The airline's proactive step is seen as a further indicator of strengthening stability and passenger demand on transatlantic routes.
