Air Canada Advances Israel Flights to Late November
Air Canada has announced it will resume direct flights between Tel Aviv and Toronto earlier than previously scheduled. The first flight from Toronto to Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) is now set for November 30, a significant acceleration from the initial plan to restart service on January 17, 2027.
During the winter season, the route will operate four times weekly. This marks the return of a direct air link between Israel and Toronto after a months-long suspension. Air Canada initially halted its flights to Israel in March, citing the conflict with Iran.
The airline had previously postponed its return to Israel from October to mid-January, according to an August announcement. However, the company has now decided to commence flights at the end of November.
The resumption of Air Canada's service aligns with a broader trend of foreign airlines gradually restarting or expanding their operations to Ben Gurion Airport, following shifts in flight schedules prompted by the war with Iran.
