Sun D'Or to Launch Direct Flights to Marrakech This Winter

Sun D'Or, a subsidiary of El Al, announced it will begin operating direct flights to Marrakech, Morocco, starting this winter. The flights are scheduled to run twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays, with introductory fares starting at $599 for a round-trip LITE ticket, which includes a carry-on suitcase and hand luggage. The inaugural flight is set for November 16, 2026, pending necessary approvals.

This move follows Arkia's resumption of flights to Morocco last month, after a nearly three-year hiatus that began on October 7. Sun D'Or's addition of Marrakech, a gateway city, expands Israeli air connectivity to the popular destination.

In addition to Marrakech, Sun D'Or plans to fly to 13 other destinations this winter. These include Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus, Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia, Tirana in Albania, Chisinau in Moldova, Belgrade in Serbia, Warsaw and Krakow in Poland, Salzburg in Austria, Lyon in France, and Verona in Italy.

Gal Gershon, CEO of Sun D'Or, expressed enthusiasm about broadening the company's offerings for Israeli travelers. He highlighted Marrakech as an exotic city with vibrant markets, rich culture, and a unique atmosphere, complementing Sun D'Or's winter schedule which features diverse options for short trips, scenic tours, ski holidays, shopping, and culinary experiences.
