Maccabi Tel Aviv is currently performing above the rest of the league, according to sports analyst Eli Guttman. The team secured a decisive 4-1 victory over rivals Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Tel Aviv derby on Monday, reinforcing their top position in the league standings.

Guttman praised Maccabi Tel Aviv's determination and hunger for success, noting that their focus has shifted entirely to reclaiming the league title after their elimination from European competitions. He contrasted this with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who he expects to be preoccupied with their European campaign.

"The end of the game shows us that Maccabi Tel Aviv is currently above the league," Guttman stated. "They will not expend energy in Europe like they have in recent years. Maccabi Tel Aviv is very hungry, focused on bringing the title back to themselves."
