His remarks came after Maccabi Tel Aviv's decisive 4-1 victory over rivals Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Tel Aviv derby on Monday. The win solidified Maccabi Tel Aviv's position at the top of the league standings.

Guttman praised the team's determination and hunger, noting that their focus has shifted entirely to domestic competition after their elimination from European tournaments. "Maccabi Tel Aviv is currently above the league," Guttman stated. "They will not expend energy in Europe like they have in recent years. Maccabi Tel Aviv is very hungry, focused on regaining the title for themselves."

He contrasted Maccabi Tel Aviv's focused approach with that of Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who will be competing in Europe. "Hapoel Be'er Sheva will travel and play in Europe and enjoy themselves there, but Maccabi Tel Aviv is focused, very calm, knows what it wants, and when it needs to step on the gas, it knows how to be very effective."

Guttman also highlighted the team's composure and organizational strength, particularly their ability to defend effectively and launch efficient counter-attacks during moments when the opponent seemed to have an edge.
