Israel Escalates Gaza Operations With Four Targeted Killings in Hours

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency have intensified operations in the Gaza Strip, conducting four targeted killings within a matter of hours. These strikes are believed to have eliminated at least four Hamas commanders involved in building the group's military strength. The operations are part of a broader effort to dismantle Hamas's capabilities and target those responsible for the October 7th massacre.

The Shin Bet, utilizing a special unit known as Nil'i, is actively working to locate and eliminate terrorists who participated in the October 7th attacks. Concurrently, another branch of the security apparatus is focused on degrading Hamas's ability to acquire weapons. In the past two weeks alone, the Israeli Air Force has struck approximately twenty Hamas weapons depots, as well as workshops and laboratories used for manufacturing military equipment. The overarching goal is to weaken Hamas, prevent its rearmament, and disrupt its efforts to rebuild its fighting formations.

Recent strikes have targeted individuals in various locations across Gaza, including Deir al-Balah, Daraj al-Tuffah, and near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, an area where the IDF recently targeted a weapons cache. Earlier today, the IDF also struck a terrorist hiding in a tent in Khan Younis. A military source confirmed that all these strikes were based on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman).
