IDF Strikes Gaza, Eliminating Two Hezbollah Engineers
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a targeted strike near Gaza City on September 13, 2026, eliminating two militants identified as members of Hezbollah's engineering unit. The eliminated individuals were identified as Hassan Ali Abu Nada and Abd al-Rahim Ahmad Khalil Hawa.
According to Israeli military intelligence, both Abu Nada and Hawa were actively involved in the production and development of weapons, as well as planning attacks against IDF soldiers and civilians. The IDF stated that their activities aimed to restore the terrorist organization's combat capabilities, which constituted a direct violation of the existing ceasefire regime.
The strike was carried out to neutralize an immediate threat. The military reported that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties, including the use of precision munitions and continuous aerial surveillance prior to the operation.
