Israel Strikes Hamas Engineering Operatives in Gaza
The Israeli military announced it had eliminated two Hamas operatives involved in the group's engineering unit in the Gaza City area earlier today. The targeted individuals were identified as Mahmoud Hassan Ali Abu Nada and Abdel Rahim Ahmed Khalil Hawar, described as active in the military wing's engineering array. According to the IDF, these operatives were recently engaged in developing weapons, advancing terror plots against Israeli soldiers and civilians, and working to restore the organization's capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire.
The IDF stated the strike was carried out to neutralize an immediate threat. Prior to the operation, measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. Forces from the IDF Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the existing agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats.
