Israel Strikes Hamas Engineering and Sniper Operatives in Gaza

During the recent holiday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency intensified operations in the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas operatives involved in engineering and operational roles. The joint forces successfully eliminated Mahmoud Hassan Ali Abu Nada and Abdel Rahim Ahmed Khalil Hawar, identified as operatives in Hamas's military wing's engineering unit, in the Gaza City area.

Earlier, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Mohammed al-Yazouri, commander of the Khan Yunis brigade in Hamas's military wing. Al-Yazouri had previously served as deputy commander of the brigade, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of intelligence. The IDF and Shin Bet stated that al-Yazouri had been actively promoting terror plots and attempting to rebuild Hamas's capabilities in Khan Yunis, which were significantly damaged during the war.

Also killed alongside al-Yazouri were Huzaifa Ammar, a company commander, and Mohammed Bahjat Rachi, another operative in the military wing. In a separate operation, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Moamen Gaber Al-Sayed Abu Labada, head of a sniper cell in the Rafah brigade, who was reportedly involved in sniper training and restoring Hamas's capabilities.

In addition to targeted assassinations, the Israeli Air Force conducted approximately twenty strikes over the past two weeks on Hamas weapons storage facilities across Gaza. These strikes targeted sites used for the production and storage of weapons and explosives, aiming to degrade the organization's military infrastructure.
