IDF Strikes Hezbollah Drone Operators in Lebanon and Eliminates Snipers in Gaza
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from the commando brigade under Division 36 identified an enemy drone near the village of Tefnit in Lebanon. Following the detection, the Israeli Air Force, guided by ground forces, conducted aerial scans and located a Hezbollah drone operator cell hiding near the security zone. The Air Force swiftly struck the militants to neutralize the threat to Israeli forces operating nearby. The IDF stated this action was a violation by Hezbollah and emphasized its commitment to preventing attacks on Israeli civilians and troops.
Additionally, the IDF carried out strikes in the central Gaza Strip on Friday, killing Maam Hamis Aqasha Abu Barikh, a sniper affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group. He had recently been involved in planning sniper attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza. Another strike in northern Gaza eliminated Muhammad Tisir Ahmad Abid, a senior operations official in Hamas. Both militants posed immediate threats to Israeli forces and civilians and were targeted in air operations during ongoing conflict.
The IDF reiterated its resolve to continue removing threats from terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hamas to protect Israeli citizens and military personnel.
