Missing Diver's Body Found Off Haifa Beach After Three-Day Search
Police announced Saturday the discovery of the body of a 22-year-old Haifa resident who went missing off the city's Students' Beach. The young man had disappeared three days prior while free diving without equipment. Rescue forces were alerted after he failed to resurface.
Extensive search operations, involving police, rescue units, and various other agencies, were conducted over land, sea, and air. Drones, a police helicopter, boats, jet skis, horses, and all-terrain vehicles were deployed. Search efforts focused on continuous, round-the-clock sweeps of the coastline and waters, both day and night.
Following the conclusion of the search, police expressed gratitude to all units, forces, and volunteers who participated in the three-day effort. They also extended condolences to the young man's family.
