Body of Missing Young Man Found After Three-Day Search at Haifa's Students' Beach
The body of a young man in his 20s, who disappeared at Students' Beach in Haifa, was located on Tuesday after nearly three days of intensive search efforts. The man had entered the water on Thursday afternoon and subsequently vanished.
Search operations were conducted continuously, day and night, across three parallel sectors: at sea, from the air, and along the coastline. Maritime rescue units, assisted by coastal district police and marine police officers, utilized jet skis and sonar technology for underwater searches. An Israel Police helicopter conducted aerial surveillance, while ground forces scoured the beach area.
Numerous entities participated in the extensive search, including Carmel district police officers, volunteers, Border Police fighters, a jeep unit, Haifa Municipality teams, and other emergency and rescue organizations. The Inspector General of the Police, Commissioner Danny Levy, and the Coastal District Commander, Superintendent Yechiel Bohdana, visited the scene to assess the situation and receive updates on the search operations.
