Body of Missing 22-Year-Old Found After Three-Day Search Off Haifa Beach
The body of a 22-year-old Haifa resident, who went missing three days ago, was discovered Saturday afternoon off Students Beach in Haifa. The young man was last seen entering the water on Thursday. His body was found approximately 800 meters from the shore and 300 meters north of where he was last seen entering the sea.
A large-scale search operation was conducted over three days, involving drones, a police helicopter, boats, jet skis, horses, and jeeps. The search efforts focused on extensive day and night sweeps from the air, along the coastline, and in the water.
Numerous agencies and volunteers participated in the search, including officers and volunteers from the Coastal District Police, Border Police, aerial units, marine police, mounted police, K-9 units, the Navy's Yaltam unit, the Fire and Rescue Services' Lahav unit, police volunteer rescue units, the Haifa Municipality, United Hatzalah, civilian emergency response teams, volunteer jeep units, a volunteer divers club, beach lifeguards, MDA (Magen David Adom), the "Yedidim" organization, ZAKA volunteers, and other forces.
