Israeli Windsurfers Sweep Podium in Women's IQFoil Competition
Israel's national windsurfing team achieved a significant success, securing two medals in the women's IQFoil event at a recent competition. Tamar Steinberg, 20, clinched the gold medal by winning the final race. She was followed by fellow Israeli Sharon Kantor, 23, the Olympic silver medalist, who earned the silver medal.
Another Israeli competitor, Daniela Peleg, finished in fourth place in the medal race, while Shahar Tobi was eliminated in the quarterfinals, ending in fifth place overall. Steinberg expressed her elation after the victory, stating, "Fuck, I'm so happy. It was such a hard final, such a competitive race. Not everything you want happens, but this happened and I'm happy. I had one goal in mind and I went for it." She added, "In the medal race anything can happen, and I'm happy it happened the way I wanted. I'm happy for Sharon and also for Daniela and Shahar, we have such a good team. It's amazing."
