Three Israeli Women Reach Windsurfing World Championship Final
Three Israeli women have qualified for the final of the Windsurfing World Championships, with two already securing their spots directly. Tamar Steinberg and Sharon Kantor advanced to the final after finishing first and second in the preliminary races, guaranteeing them a win each heading into the final races. Daniela Peleg also secured her place in the final on Saturday by competing in the semi-final.
Steinberg and Kantor are in a strong position to secure medals, as winning a medal requires two victories in the final races. Peleg's qualification means three Israeli athletes will compete for medals in the championship final.
Another Israeli, Shahar Tobi, unfortunately did not qualify for the semi-finals.
In the men's competition, Tom Reuveny, the Olympic champion from Paris, has also advanced to the final. He will compete against three other sailors for a medal in England.
