Israel Weather: Heat to Ease in Most Areas, Dangerously Hot in South
Most of Israel will experience a moderate decrease in temperature on Friday, September 11, with clear skies expected after morning clouds. The temperature drop will be most noticeable along the coastal plain, in the Shefela region, and in the Negev, bringing temperatures back to seasonal norms. However, meteorologists have issued yellow warnings for high heat stress in southern and eastern areas, particularly around the Dead Sea and the Arava desert.
Extreme heat conditions are forecast for the southern Judean Desert and the Dead Sea region from 11:00 AM Friday until 4:00 AM Saturday. An additional yellow warning is in effect for the northern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea coast, and the northern Arava from 12:00 PM until midnight. These areas will continue to experience significant heat stress despite the general cooling trend elsewhere.
On Saturday, September 12, the weather pattern will remain similar, with pleasant conditions and no major temperature changes after morning clouds dissipate. By Sunday, September 13, temperatures are expected to rise again, exceeding seasonal norms, especially in mountainous and inland areas, leading to a renewed sense of heat.
