Three Suspects, Including Soldier, Arrested in Israeli Army Weapons Trafficking Probe
Israeli police and military police are investigating a suspected trafficking ring involving army weapons. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, including a soldier serving at a base in northern Israel. All three were taken in for questioning.
Two civilians appeared before the Haifa Magistrate's Court on September 10, where police requested their detention be extended. The soldier was brought before a military court, and his arrest was extended until next Wednesday.
The investigation is being conducted by the Central Investigation Unit of the Coastal District Police in collaboration with the Northern Unit of the Military Police. Following the completion of the investigation, the case materials will be transferred to the prosecution.
