IDF Soldier and Two Civilians Arrested in Military Weapons Trafficking Probe
The Military Police (MP) is investigating the alleged trafficking of military weapons, leading to the arrest of an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier and two civilians. According to police statements on Thursday, the three are suspected of stealing three weapons from the IDF.
The two civilians were taken for questioning and their detention was extended by four days by the Magistrate's Court. The soldier, who serves as a facility guard in the elite naval commando unit Shayetet 13, appeared before a military court, which extended his arrest until next Wednesday. The findings of the investigation will be transferred to the State Attorney's Office for review upon its conclusion.
