Maccabi Haifa Denies Plans to Transfer Midfielder Yarin Levi

Maccabi Haifa is working to quell speculation surrounding interest from other major clubs in their midfielder, Yarin Levi. Club president Yaakov Shahar issued a statement on Wednesday affirming Levi's commitment to the team. "Yarin is a Maccabi Haifa player who grew and developed in our youth academy. We believe in him and are confident he will succeed with us and bring great pride to the club and our fans," Shahar stated. He emphasized that the club has "no intention and never had any intention to discuss his transfer to another club." Shahar also asserted that all decisions regarding Maccabi Haifa players are made solely in the club's best interest. The statement comes as the transfer window nears its close, with Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Be'er Sheva reportedly having expressed interest in the player. Shahar also took the opportunity to wish the entire Maccabi Haifa family a happy and successful new year.
