Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Yarin Levi May Transfer Abroad Amid Contract Uncertainty

Yarin Levi, the midfielder who recently returned to Maccabi Haifa after two successful years at Beitar Jerusalem, faces an uncertain future as the new season begins poorly for Haifa. Discussions on 103FM's sports program highlighted that Levi has not yet signed the contract offered by Maccabi Haifa, and there are ongoing efforts to sell him abroad this summer.

Moshe Primo noted that Levi personally wishes to play for Beitar Jerusalem, but due to existing financial arrangements between the clubs, including a percentage of any sale going to Beitar, the situation remains complicated. Almog Cohen also mentioned that although there were attempts to sell Levi previously, they did not materialize.

According to Walla Sports reporter Ofir Saar, the transfer rights are split with 10% to Levi, 45% to Maccabi Haifa, and 45% to Beitar Jerusalem. Levi might forgo his 10% share to facilitate a transfer, especially since his release clause is set at 2.5 million euros. Offers around 1.6 to 1.7 million euros could prompt negotiations involving club owners Barak Abramov and Yaakov Shahar. Saar added that Levi is not necessarily disappointed about not being sold but finds it difficult to perform under pressure from fans at Maccabi Haifa.

Yanniv Tuchman from Walla confirmed Levi still aims to be sold. The possibility of a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) remains open, as Levi previously declined MLS offers to pursue a championship with Beitar Jerusalem and European opportunities. Now, with the right offer and support from Beitar's owner Yankale Shahar, a transfer to MLS could be feasible.
