Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Yarin Levi to Stay with Club Amid Transfer Speculation

Maccabi Haifa's professional manager, Lior Refaelov, has clarified to midfielder Yarin Levi that the club intends to keep him for at least the remainder of the season, dispelling rumors of potential transfers to Beitar Jerusalem or Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Club president Yaakov Shahar confirmed on Wednesday that Levi is not for sale and will remain with the team.

Levi, a product of the club's youth academy, is highly valued by the coaching staff. He is expected to feature in the upcoming match against Ironi Kiryat Shmona after being left out of the previous game against Hapoel Petah Tikva, where Ali Mohamed took his place. Levi had received playing time at the start of the season.

Maccabi Haifa currently has seven midfielders on its roster: Bruninho, Eitan Azulay, Yarin Levi, Ali Mohamed, Navot Ratner, Cedric Doun, and Amit Arzi. Three of these players will be in the starting lineup for the next match.

Separately, striker Guy Melamed is not training with the team and will miss the upcoming game as he recovers from swelling, though no injury was found. He will gradually return to full training once the swelling subsides.

In other club news, Hapoel Afula announced the signing of midfielder Dickson Mohamed on loan from Maccabi Haifa. It was also reported that Maccabi Haifa purchased Mohamed for 50,000 euros from the Stari academy.
