Maccabi Haifa Confirms Yarin Levi Stays, Rejects Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem Interest

Maccabi Haifa President Yaakov Shahar announced Wednesday that midfielder Yarin Levi will remain with the club at least until the end of the season, dismissing any intention to negotiate his transfer with other teams. This comes after both Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Beit Shemesh publicly expressed interest in acquiring the player.

Professional director Lior Refaelov spoke with Levi, clarifying that the club is counting on him and has no plans to sell him. Levi, a product of the club's youth academy, is highly valued by the coaching staff and is expected to play in the upcoming match against Ironi Kiryat Shmona after not featuring in the previous game against Hapoel Petah Tikva.

Levi started the season in the lineup, but Ali Mohamed took his place in the last match. Maccabi Haifa currently has seven midfielders on its roster: Bruninho, Eitan Azulai, Yarin Levi, Ali Mohamed, Navot Ratner, Cedric Doun, and Amit Erzi, with three expected to start each game.

Forward Guy Melamed is not training with the team and will gradually return to action, missing the next match. While no injury was found in his examination, a decision was made to let swelling subside before he resumes full training.

In related news, Hapoel Afula announced Tuesday the signing of midfielder Dickson Mohamed on loan from Maccabi Haifa. It was also reported that Maccabi Haifa purchased Mohamed for 50,000 euros from the Stari academy.
