Yarin Levi Extends Contract with Maccabi Haifa for Three More Seasons
Yarin Levi has officially signed a new three-year contract with Maccabi Haifa, extending his stay at the club until 2029. The midfielder, who spent the past two seasons on loan at Beitar Jerusalem and emerged as a rising star in the Israeli Premier League, expressed pride and excitement about returning to Haifa. Levi said, "I am happy and proud to return to Maccabi and wear the green jersey again. I grew up here as a player from a young age, so this return is emotional and meaningful. I gave up a lot to be here, driven by a strong desire to succeed, contribute, and bring joy to the fans."
Despite his return, Levi initially faced hostility from some Haifa supporters. Meanwhile, Beitar Jerusalem, which holds 50 percent of Levi's contract rights and a release clause of 2.5 million euros to be split with Haifa in case of a sale, is unhappy with the current situation. There had been an agreement that Levi would be released to a foreign club if a suitable offer arrived, but now he will remain at Haifa for three more years. This development has caused dissatisfaction at Beitar Jerusalem, as they expected Levi to move abroad during this transfer window.
