Maccabi Haifa President Assures Yarin Levi Will Stay Amid Transfer Speculation
Maccabi Haifa President Yaakov Shahar has issued a statement to quell speculation surrounding the future of midfielder Yarin Levi, amid reported interest from Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Shahar emphasized that Levi is a valued player who developed in the club's youth system and expressed confidence in his ability to bring pride to Maccabi Haifa.
"We believe in him and are sure he will bring much pride to our club," Shahar stated. He explicitly denied any intention to discuss Levi's transfer to another club, asserting that all decisions regarding Maccabi Haifa players are made solely in the club's best interest.
The statement comes as the transfer window nears its close, with both Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Be'er Sheva having expressed interest in the player. Shahar also took the opportunity to extend New Year wishes to the entire Maccabi Haifa community.
