Maccabi Haifa Slams Beitar Jerusalem Over Yarin Levi Transfer Tactics

Maccabi Haifa has expressed strong anger towards Beitar Jerusalem regarding their pursuit of player Yarin Levi. Sources within Maccabi Haifa are upset by messages reportedly originating from Beitar Jerusalem concerning Levi's future, emphasizing that the player's position is not in doubt and the club has no intention of letting him go.

Maccabi Haifa insists they have made significant efforts to retain Levi, including signing him to a long-term contract that satisfies him. A club official stated, "Usually, when you want a player, you are supposed to make contact. We don't recall negotiating or saying we want a contracted player through the media. This is not how you conduct business, and it's a shame Beitar continues this approach, especially after the difficult statement against Itzik Ovadia." The official stressed that both the club and Levi are committed to continuing their partnership, noting that Levi recently signed a new contract and is staying with the team.

Less than a month ago, Maccabi Haifa renegotiated Levi's contract, which now includes a percentage of a future transfer fee to potentially increase his value for both parties. His previous release clause was set at 2.5 million euros.
