Iran Launches Missiles at US Bases in Jordan After Oil Tanker Strikes
Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles targeting American bases in Jordan in retaliation for the United States destroying five Iranian oil tankers. According to reports, 18 out of the 20 missiles launched by Iran were intercepted.
Israel clarified that it was not involved in the missile interception and that the missiles did not cross into Israeli territory. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed on Tuesday morning to have struck additional American vessels in the Persian Gulf.
This exchange follows an earlier incident where the U.S. reportedly destroyed five Iranian oil tankers.
