Yaakov Buzaglo Sets Price for Media Appearances After Political Stance

Former footballer and reality TV star Yaakov Buzaglo has returned to Israel after nearly a year living in Georgia. Buzaglo, who previously stated his departure was due to government policy, has declared himself a leftist and expressed support for the "Democrats" party. He warned that if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wins the upcoming elections, there is a 99% chance he will leave Israel again.

Following significant media attention regarding his political views, Buzaglo announced he will no longer grant interviews for free. He posted on Facebook that he is tired of feeling his time and opinions are taken for granted. Buzaglo believes his experience and views are part of his right to earn a living, and if he is to be a target for his opinions in studios, he deserves financial compensation.

Buzaglo has set a price list for his media appearances: 15,000 shekels for up to an hour in a studio interview, and 10,000 shekels for a similar length phone call. He is charging an additional 1,000 shekels per minute for any time exceeding the first hour, stating he will not compromise on these rates. This move is considered unusual in the Israeli media landscape, where guests typically do not receive payment for expressing their views.
