Yakov Buzaglo Sets High Fees for Interviews, Citing Value of His Time
Yakov Buzaglo, father of Israeli football stars Maor, Asi, and Ohad Buzaglo, has announced a price list for interviews, demanding thousands of shekels for his time and opinions. Buzaglo stated on Facebook that he is tired of declining interview requests and has decided to set a fee, asserting that his time, experience, and views have value and are part of his livelihood.
According to his post, a studio interview up to one hour will cost 15,000 shekels, while a telephone interview of the same duration will be 10,000 shekels. Buzaglo also specified an additional charge of 1,000 shekels for every minute exceeding the agreed-upon hour, emphasizing that he will not accept less than the stated prices.
He explained that he is often asked to appear on air to express his opinions, and feels his time is treated as if it has no cost. Buzaglo recently identified himself as left-wing, advocating for equality, democracy, human rights, social responsibility, and peace, and expressed support for the 'Democrats' party led by Yair Golan as a potential stable and value-based alternative government.
Buzaglo concluded his post by advocating for freedom of expression and stating he is not ashamed of his worldview, but rather of those who fear expressing their opinions publicly. He previously revealed his political stance about two months prior to this announcement.
