Yaakov Buzaglo Sets New Fees for Media Appearances

Israeli media personality Yaakov Buzaglo has announced a new policy requiring payment for all interviews, stating he is tired of appearing on television and radio programs for free. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Buzaglo declared that his time, experience, and personal opinions are valuable and constitute part of his livelihood.

He detailed his new pricing structure: 15,000 shekels for an in-studio interview lasting up to one hour, and 10,000 shekels for a phone interview of the same duration. Buzaglo also specified an additional charge of 1,000 shekels for every minute exceeding the one-hour limit.

Buzaglo emphasized that these prices are non-negotiable. He explained his decision by stating, "If I am a punching bag because of my opinions, that costs money." He added that he has often been asked to appear on programs to express his views, and he feels his time should be compensated as he needs to earn a living.

Previously, Buzaglo often declined interview requests. His new policy aims to establish a clear financial arrangement for media outlets seeking his participation, recognizing the value he believes his presence and commentary bring.
